PRIVACY & ANALYTICS

Simple, first-party traffic measurement

Coupon with Sofia uses lightweight first-party analytics to understand how the storefront is used and which Amazon deal links receive clicks.

What is measured

We record page views, a random browser identifier, outbound Shop Now clicks, the Amazon ASIN and seller identifier associated with a clicked deal, and the UTC day of those events.

The random browser identifier is stored in your browser's localStorage. The analytics database stores only a SHA-256 hash of that identifier, not the raw identifier.

What is not measured by our analytics tables

Our first-party analytics tables do not store your name, email address, payment information, Amazon account information, or IP address. Hosting providers may separately keep standard web-server request logs for security and reliability.

Retention

First-party analytics records are automatically pruned after approximately 365 days. Database backups may temporarily contain older records until those backups are rotated or deleted.

Amazon links and affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. A click can be counted by Coupon with Sofia before you leave this site, but completed orders and purchases are handled by Amazon.

Once you visit Amazon, Amazon's own privacy practices and terms apply.

Browser storage

The storefront uses localStorage for a random analytics identifier and may use browser storage for normal interface behavior. Clearing your browser site data resets that identifier.
